In the Community

Investing in Our Communities

We believe in the credit union philosophy of "people helping people" and are committed to supporting organizations which positively impact our communities through donations and sponsorships. Each year, we provide financial support to local organizations and fundraising events, as well as many hours of volunteerism.

The amount of funding is determined on a case-by-case basis and is subject to our budget limitations as set by our Board of Directions. All decisions of the Donation's Committee are final. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we are unable to guarantee funding for every request.

All requests are typically reviewed by our Community Donation Committee within 7 - 10 business days, however our guidelines request a 30-day window at the time of submission. Requests will be evaluated for alignment with our charitable guidelines and budget.

Please note that the following items/purposes are generally outside the scope of Align's general charitable contributions guidelines.

  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin
  • Organizations or programs designed to influence legislation or elect candidates to public office
  • Organizations or programs dedicated to religious purposes
