Fraud Alerts

Fraud Alerts

Align has received reports of scammers spoofing our (800) 942-9575 phone number and posing as a Team Member from our Fraud Department. They are calling Align members and claiming that the individual has unauthorized activity on their account. These fraudsters will then try to trick individuals into providing additional information to gain access to their accounts. Spoofing is when a caller deliberately falsifies the information transmitted to your caller ID display to disguise their identity.

PLEASE NOTE: We may contact you if fraud is suspected on your account but Align will never ask you for the following information during a call that we initiate.

  • Verification code sent as a text message or email
  • Online banking user name and/or password
  • PIN number or the three-digit security code on the back of your debit or credit cards
  • Your full Social Security number

You should NEVER share this information.

If you receive a call (even if the caller ID says "Align Credit Union" or it's a phone number you recognize) and you are asked to provide any of the information above, hang up and call us directly at (800) 942-9575.
